ISELIN, NJ – The National Association of Fleet Administrators, Inc. (NAFA) will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2007.
In 1957, a group of fleet management professionals recognized the need of a professional membership society, and, thus, NAFA was born. John Limpert was elected NAFA’s first president, and NAFA’s Code of Regulations was developed. NAFA’s first annual conference took place in Detroit in March 1958. Topics covered at the conference included leasing and ownership, Chrysler’s organizational changes, insurance, new- and used-car dealer operations, safety, and small cars.
