DIAMOND BAR, CA – South Coast Air Quality Management District officials presented a class in the basics of hydrogen fuel cell vehicle technology for members of the National Association of Fleet Administrators (NAFA) Pacific Southwest chapter meeting. Attendees at the March meeting learned how a fuel cell works, the future of hydrogen fueling infrastructure, and the efforts of the California Fuel Cell Partnership, a public agency/private sector collaboration to foster fuel cell technology. The meeting also offered fuel cell-powered vehicle ride-and-drives. During the meeting’s business portion, members also approved the chapter’s 2005-2006 board of directors: chair, Tim Pfrimmer, fleet services manager, University of California Los Angeles (UCLA); vice-chair, Bruce Gaines, fleet director, Valleycrest Companies; Leonie Von Halle, fleet manager, Computer Sciences Corp.; and secretary, Jeff Coleman, So. Calif. fleet supervisor, Comcast Cable Communications. A.J.
