ISELIN, NJ — The National Association of Fleet Administrators (NAFA) and General Motors (GM) have come across an overlap of schedules between NAFA’s FMI-LEG Conference and GM’s Fleet Preview Show for the next two years, according to Fleet Focus. The schedules for the two years are as follows:
NAFA’s next FMI-LEG Conference is May 6-9, 2006, at the Gaylord Palms in Orlando, Fla. The GM Fleet Preview is May 8-12, 2006, at the Renaissance Hotel in Nashville, Tenn.
The NAFA 2007 FMI-LEG Conference is May 5-8, 2007, in Houston, Texas. The GM Fleet Preview is May 7-11, 2007, in Charlotte, N.C.
“In the interest of the entire fleet industry, NAFA and GM have explored many options for alleviating these conflicts. Unfortunately, none of the alternatives turned out to be feasible or practical. Consequently, the overlaps still exist and General Motors has informed NAFA they will not be able to participate in the NAFA Expo at the 2006 FMI-LEG Conference,” reported Fleet Focus. “Because the GM event is by invitation only, the schedule overlap may affect only some NAFA FMI-LEG Conference attendees who may wish to attend both events. Specifically, fleet managers who are invited to the GM event can attend the NAFA FMI-LEG Conference for continuing fleet management education from Saturday through Tuesday, then travel to the GM preview for Wednesday through Friday. NAFA encourages fleet managers to take this into consideration when making travel arrangements for the 2006 and 2007 FMI-LEG Conferences,” added Fleet Focus. May 6-9, 2006 — Orlando, Fla.
May 5-8, 2007 — Houston, Texas
May 3-6, 2008 — Salt Lake City, Utah
Apr. 25-28, 2009 — New Orleans, La.
