LOS ANGELES - Global vision-based analytics pioneer Mobileye Inc. announced the establishment of a distribution relationship with Phoenix-based AssureNet, a provider of safety and risk-management services to the insurance and transportation industries nationwide.

The newly formed alliance will make Mobileye's extensive line of advanced warning aftermarket safety technologies available to AssureNet's fleet customers and its national network of insurance companies who cover heavy- and medium-duty fleets, as well as commercial passenger cars.

"When it comes to ensuring driver safety, we believe that Mobileye's extensive line of products and technologies are the very best available to consumers," said AssureNet CEO Chris Chappell.  "The combination of Mobileye's technology and our services will reduce accidents and enable fleet and risk managers and insurance companies to manage risk more effectively."

Mobileye, Inc. CEO Skip Kinford added: "Given the ability of Mobileye technologies to minimize risk and drastically reduce the rate of accidents and on-road fatalities, it is imperative the insurance industry has even greater access to our family of products.  We effectively accomplish this by aligning ourselves with companies like AssureNet."

Mobileye's line of award winning Advance Warning System (AWS) aftermarket driver assistance products respond to the ever-increasing role that driver distraction plays in accidents and fatalities. Innovative Mobileye driver assistance technologies, such as forward collision warning (FCW), headway monitoring (HMW) and lane departure warning (LDW) systems, help alert drivers to potentially life-threatening situations.

The ability to save lives via intelligent vision-based technology is one area that automotive manufacturers, fleet operators, consumers and government agencies like the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) agree on as a safety solution. The popularity of Mobileye's technologies is further evidenced by the growing number of OEMs -such as BMW, General Motors and Volvo- that are integrating the life-saving systems into their vehicles.

The only aftermarket driver safety solution offering the three essential accident-prevention warnings in one unit, Mobileye AWS includes a camera located on the front windshield inside the vehicle and utilizes Mobileye's advanced vision technologies to detect and measure the distance to vehicles and lane markings, providing the driver with timely alerts.
