MetroGistics has hired John Heimann as its associate vice president of information technology, the vehicle logistics provider has announced.
Heimann brings 28 years of experience managing IT and integration projects, including 20 years in the transportation industry, and has worked for two Fortune 500 companies.

In his new role, Heimann will help grow the day-to-day IT operations and development. He will also be heavily involved in the integration of MetroGistics' customer relationship management (CRM) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) platforms.
Heimann has extensive experience in the vehicle-transportation industry, having worked previously with MetroGistics founders William Billiter and Scott Naz. He most recently worked at Express Scripts in St. Louis, where he rose through the ranks from senior manager of IT to director of campaign management to director of integration and initiatives. Heimann's IT career includes stints with Union Pacific Technologies and Transentric.
