Merchants launched a suite of innovative new leasing and financing solutions designed to keep essential businesses on the road during the pandemic. As a result, the company put about 20,000 vehicles on the road in the last mile delivery space delivering 4 million packages per day in a vehicle managed by Merchants at the height of the pandemic, according to the statement.

As the nation sets its sights on achieving long term sustainability, Merchants is paving the way for fleet electrification throughout North America with reservations of nearly 40,000 electric vehicles and $2.5B committed toward having its mobility fleet 50% electric by 2025, and 50% of its clients’ fleets electric by 2030.

“The world’s most innovative companies play an essential role in addressing the most pressing issues facing society, whether they’re fighting climate change by spurring decarbonization efforts, ameliorating the strain on supply chains, or helping us reconnect with one another over shared passions,” said Fast Company deputy editor David Lidsky.
