Mercedes Car Group Deliveries in July Rise Slightly
FRANKFURT - Vehicle sales at DaimlerChrysler's premium arm Mercedes car group rose 1.4 percent in July compared to the previous year.
FRANKFURT - Vehicle sales Mercedes car group rose 1.4 percent in July compared to the previous year, according to Reuters.
The group sold 103,700 cars last month, boosted by its new C-Class sedan, which was recently launched in the United States and in right-hand-drive-markets.
Sales of its minicar brand Smart rose 3 percent versus the year-ago month to 9,900 units but slipped 27.5 percent overall in the first seven months of the year.
Mercedes-Benz brand deliveries edged up 1.2 percent in July to 93,800 units and rose 1.7 percent in the period from January to July.
Mercedes sold 24,800 units of its new C-Class sedan in July, up 67 percent year on year.
