RESTON, VA — MAXIMUS, a provider of consulting, health, and human services program management and information technology services, has signed fleet management software contracts with three utility companies in North America. ATCO Gas is Alberta’s largest natural-gas delivery company, serving more than 914,000 customers in 291 communities. Headquartered in Edmonton, ATCO Gas builds, operates, and maintains nearly 35,000 km of distribution pipeline throughout Alberta. ATCO Gas licensed FleetFocus to manage its fleet operation, which consists of 1,600 vehicles and equipment units, nine shops, and 55 technicians to keep its vehicles in top form. Exelon Corp. is the parent company of two major utilities, Commonwealth Edison in Chicago and PECO Energy in Philadelphia. Exelon is one of the nation’s largest utilities, with more than $14 billion in annual revenues, distributing electricity to approximately 5.2 million customers in Illinois and Pennsylvania, and gas to 460,000 customers in the Philadelphia area. Exelon will be running FleetFocus — which MAXIMUS will host out of its data center in Wayne, Pa. — to track 6,000 vehicles and equipment units. Additionally, MAXIMUS signed a contract with the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority (PREPA).
