Malcom Named 2013 Fleet Manager of the Year, Webber Named Fleet Executive of the Year — Dick Malcom, fleet administrator for State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Co.

Dick Malcom, fleet administrator for State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Co., received Automotive Fleet magazine's 2013 Professional Fleet Manager of the year honor. In addition, Jerome Webber, VP, global fleet operations for AT&T, was named Fleet Financials magazine's 2013 Fleet Executive of the Year. Both received their respective awards on Thursday, Sept. 12, at the AFLA 2013 Annual Conference in Scottsdale, Ariz.

Instituted in 1985, the Fleet Manager of the Year award is sponsored by Automotive Fleet magazine, Wheels Inc., and the Automotive Fleet and Leasing Association (AFLA).

The other two finalists for the 2013 Professional Fleet Manager of the Year award included Donna Bibbo, CAFM, CCTE, manager, fleet & travel for Novo Nordisk Inc., and Brandon Morris, director, fleet services, for DIRECTV.

For 2013, the industry nominated 20 fleet managers for the Professional Fleet Manager of the Year award.

For the 2013 Fleet Manager of the Year award, a 37-member judging panel selected Malcom. The panel included past winners, manufacturers, auction representatives, fleet management services, dealers, and the media.

He will be featured on the cover of Automotive Fleet’s October issue.

The 2013 Fleet Executive of the Year award was sponsored by CEI and Fleet Financials magazine. A panel of industry judges will evaluate criteria submissions including cost-saving initiatives, policy setting, creation of innovative programs, and cultivation of fleet manager training and management.

The other three finalists for the this year’s Fleet Executive of the Year award include Bo Cupps, AVP, office services, for Infinity Insurance Company, Kevin Fisher, VP, strategic fleet operations for Aramark, and Steve Saltzgiver, CAFM, vice president, fleet operations, for Coca-Cola Refreshments.
