Ford’s Lincoln Motor Co. brand showed a new concept luxury small utility vehicle in Detroit at the North American International Auto Show. Lincoln said it sees the luxury utility segment as a key growth opportunity and plans to release four all-new vehicles targeting the “highest growth” segments over the next four years.
The MKC Concept is based on what Lincoln calls its “Lincoln Design DNA,” which is shown in the new MKZ. Key exterior design elements noted by Lincoln on the MKC Concept is a liftgate design with a side-view cutline, frameless windows, a white metallic tri-coat paint, 20-inch premium wheels with polished chrome rims, and a large fixed panoramic roof that runs the length of the vehicle. Up front, the utility vehicle features a split-wing grille design, a sculpted hood, and LED lighting.
