Lincoln will provide free routine service on all of its vehicles starting in the 2001 model-year. Lincoln will perform all factory-scheduled maintenance on new models for three years or 36,000 miles. The program includes oil changes, tire rotation, filter changes, engine coolant, and replacement of items such as wiper blades, hoses, belts, brake pads, and brake linings. Free maintenance will only be available at Lincoln dealerships, and is transferable to subsequent owners within the coverage period. Daewoo Motor America has offered owners free service since late 1998. Earlier this month, Daewoo altered the program, giving owners a maintenance allowance of up to $1,000 for three years or $36,000 miles. Daewoo said assigning a dollar value made the offer more tangible to customers.
