Lexus has introduced its fifth-generation 2018 LS flagship sedan for 2018, which was shown at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
The LS 500 is longer and lower than its predecessor with a 123-inch wheelbase and a rear-wheel drive platform and a stiff GA-L platform for improved handling.
Lexus designed a 3.5L V-6 engine specifically for the new LS with twin turbos developed through the company’s F1 technology, and the LS will offer 415 horsepower and 442 lb.-ft. of torque.
The LS will feature the brand’s Lexus Safety System + and offer the Advanced Safety Package, which features an Intuitive Pedestrian Detection and Active Steering within the lane. The vehicle will be available in about 90 countries.
