ALPHARETTA, GA – LeasePlan USA, an Alpharetta-based fleet management company with strong ties to the community, recently presented a vehicle to Shakeisha Cobble, an Atlanta Children’s Shelter ACS) Achiever.

After a job loss forced Cobble and her two sons into homelessness, they were welcomed into the ACS program. Cobble completed the program at ACS; demonstrated stability in housing, family and employment for at least one year; exhibited educational and/or career progression; and became involved in the community to successfully become an Achiever this year.

The vehicle donated to Cobble and her family was one of LeasePlan’s off-lease vehicles. All mechanical work and preventive maintenance was provided by a local Firestone Complete Auto Care and a new set of tires were donated by TiresPlus, both part of Bridgestone Retail Operations, LLC.

“At LeasePlan, we are incredibly fortunate to be in a position to be able to give back to the people in the communities in which we do business. And, during this holiday season, what better way to give back than to provide a vehicle to a family in need and help them get back on their feet,” said Michael A. Pitcher, president and CEO of LeasePlan USA.

Executive Director for ACS, Sandra Keating, Esq., said, “To most, a vehicle is just something that gets you from point A to point B. To the families we serve, it's the means to employment, independence and stability.
LeasePlan's commitment to our mission and to the homeless families at the Shelter makes a lasting positive impact on their lives."

This is the fifth vehicle that LeasePlan, a provider of premium vehicle leasing and fleet management solutions, has donated to local non-profit organizations. LeasePlan is a long-time supporter of the Atlanta Children’s Shelter, and has donated several vehicles to the organization and its clients.
