LeasePlan, the high-touch service provider of vehicle leasing and fleet management solutions, hosted Global Fleet Summits this summer in Chicago and New York. The summits were one day exclusive events that brought together a select number of senior fleet decision makers to share experiences and best practices in the area of international fleet sourcing and management.
The summit began with a strategic perspective on the varying approaches global companies take when it comes to fleet sourcing and fleet management. The meeting continued with a more practical approach to global sourcing and OEM management as well as experiences from an experienced Global Fleet Director on leading a company from a local approach to a more centralized approach. The summit further illustrated combining a global approach with local implementation in presentations and discussions focused around fleet management in Mexico and Driver Engagement.
“The ability to bring 50 years of global fleet management expertise from the local perspective of 31 countries is a very unique and very powerful combination. The feedback from participants has been overwhelmingly positive,” said Jon Toups, chief sales and marketing officer for LeasePlan USA. “So much so that we plan to continue to provide this unique opportunity for global fleet managers in the future.”
