The topic of auto transport and logistics takes on a center role at the Conference of Automotive Remarketing March 28-30 with a tandem workshop and roundtable session geared toward getting audiences involved.

Moderated by the hosts of the YouTube channel ATI Auto Business, a car shipping business channel, the workshop and session will hit the topical third rails of vehicle transportation in the consignor, auction, and dealer segments.

The workshop, Transportation Dumpster Fire!, will be held Wednesday, March 29 at 4:15 to 5:15 p.m. in the conference center at Caesars Palace Las Vegas. Hosted by Ty Thompson of ATI Academy, the interactive event will walk participants through an exercise in the challenges of customer service, vetting and onboarding carriers, and connecting with your carrier base.

“We know there are plenty of companies that promote and supply transportation logistics service, but they never talk about how hard this process is,” Thompson said. “For anyone asking, ‘Where’s my car?’, they want answers. This workshop will tell you how it will be. There is a serious disconnect between providers who deliver the cars and companies that sell you the service. That’s the reality. As prices keep dropping and costs keep rising, this problem will continue to get worse.”

Many logistics companies went out of business during the pandemic, and now the market has many new players.

That will be a starting point for a follow-on session Thursday, March 30 at 10:30 a.m. where ATI Auto Business host Jay Wiesberger and Thompson lead a roundtable panel, “Heavy Loads Ahead: How Auto Transport Must Transform for a Changing Market, that will engage the audience “talk show style” in an active and lively discussion.

“We’re going to have a solution conversation about transportation and vehicle logistics,” said Wiesberger, whose weekly YouTube interview programs have become a hub for workers, leaders, business owners, and managers in all areas of the remarketing industry to connect. “We want attendees in the audience to join us with your questions and your problems and share your thoughts so we can help you learn more within the reality of transportation logistics. This is a chance to participate in a real conversation about real problems to find real solutions you can apply. We’ll connect you to other businesses that can help you.”
