The remarketing sector thrives on data, and the more that circulates the more informed decisions industry businesses can make.

The Conference of Automotive Remarketing will hold a general session dedicated to the latest findings from J.D. Power’s extensive data that projects outcomes for the new and used vehicle markets through the rest of 2024. It will be held Thursday, March 28, from 10:30 am to 11:30 am.

General Session Topics

The session presenter will be Dave Sargent, vice president and head of the Connected Vehicle Practice at J.D. Power. Among key points and questions he will share with audience members:

  • What are the key dynamics that will affect the used vehicle market in 2024 and 2025?

  • Who will gain and lose from these dynamics, and how do you ensure you are one of the winners?

  • What is the quality of the vehicles that we will be remarketing this year? What will need fixing?

  • What are used vehicle buyers thinking, and what will they be doing?

  • How are we going to remarket all the EVs that will be coming back?

  • What is data showing on the usage, deployment, and performance of EVs?

  • What are the expectations for volumes and pricing?

  • Who is going to make money, and how much?

“Vehicle remarketers need to understand the automotive landscape for 2024 to maximize profitability in what will be tougher conditions than we have seen recently,” Sargent said. “J.D. Power is uniquely positioned to provide objective data and insights on all aspects of the new and used vehicle markets. This session will help remarketers to get ahead of some of the key trends and be proactive not reactive as they unfold.”

CAR is being held March 26-28 at the Hilton Phoenix at the Peak. All conference registration details and discounts here.
