Jaguar released performance data for the four-cylinder Ingenium diesel engines it will offer in the new mid-size XE sports sedan at the Paris Motor Show.
The first from the lineup includes an entry-level 2.0-liter turbodiesel producing 161 hp, 380 Nm of torque and 75 mpg fuel economy, which Jaguar is calling the most fuel-efficient vehicle they manufacture. The second diesel engine has one of the highest torque outputs in the class with 430 Nm. The more fuel efficient vehicles are a result of the predominately aluminum chassis.
