InfoWorld and U.S. Department of State Select FuelQuest as e-Business Innovator
InfoWorld and the U.S. Department of State recognized FuelQuest for its innovation and expertise in the technology and e-business strategies. FuelQuest was chosen by InfoWorld as one of its “InfoWorld E-Business 100” (Oct. 16, 2000), and the Department of State has identified FuelQuest as a preferred resource for international visitors focused on Internet, e-commerce, and technology-based business. InfoWorld cited FuelQuest for its “marketplace strategy (that) allows petroleum distributors to conduct one-to-one transactions with their customers online. Through hosted supply-chain integration, petroleum marketers can place orders and handle invoicing and delivery online.” FuelQuest has also recently provided a series of e-business briefings at the request of the International Institute of Education (IIE), which coordinates the international visitors program for the Department of State (DOS). “The consistent response to the FuelQuest briefings has been that they have been the most informative and educational in visitors’ itineraries,” remarked Paul Cummings, manager of IIE’s Southern Region International Visitors Program. “With its focus on e-business and supply-chain integration for the petroleum industry, FuelQuest has emerged as a significant force in our regions’ technology capability.”
