TOKYO – The Infiniti EX has received the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s Top Safety Pick Award, according to the Web sitewww.thecarconnection.com.
The first Infiniti ever to win such an award from the IIHS, the EX got the award for having superior crash-test ratings in front, side, and rear collisions, as well as for having standard stability control.
This year, some 34 vehicles qualified as Top Safety Picks, as stability control has become standard in more new vehicles. Last year was the first year that the Institute has required its winners to have the feature standard.
