Indiana to Accelerate E85 Fuel Availability
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. --- E85 fuel – a blend of 85 percent ethanol and 15 percent gasoline – is now available for sale to the public in Indianapolis for the first time. Indiana now has 19 E85 pumps, according to a Brownfield Network report.

Indiana now has 19 E85 pumps, according to a Brownfield Network report. Lt. Gov. Becky Skillman participated in a ceremony welcoming the new fuel to a Phillips 66 station on the southwest side of the city. She said the goal is to have 40 E85 pumps operating in Indiana by the end of 2006. Indiana’s Agricultural Department in November signed an agreement with the Indiana Energy Group to run the $1.1 million Alternative Fuels Grant Program, previously called the Alternative Fuel Vehicle Program. The program will help fund installation of E85 pumps and offer incentives for fleet use of B20 biodiesel, according to Brownfield Network.
