MT. LAUREL, NJ — Edward N. (Norman) Kemps, fleet insurance manager for Automotive Resources International (ARI), passed away April 29, 2005. He was 66. Kemps was a 37-year employee of ARI. He joined the company in 1969 as the fleet insurance manager after gaining significant experience working in the insurance industry. He introduced a new product line to ARI and over the ensuing decades he developed new insurance-related products for the company. For a few years, in addition to insurance, Kemps added to his management responsibilities the early personnel administration department, now human resources. In 1981, he served as manager of sales administration, now called client support services, for two years before returning to his lifelong career interest in 1983 as fleet insurance manager. Kemps was born in Philadelphia, Pa., and raised in Marlton, N.J. He was a resident of Cherry Hill, N.J, for 38 years. He was a high school and college athlete, a graduate of Wilkes College, a U.S. Army Reservist, an active member of Cherry Hill Jaycees, a enthusiastic soccer, Little League, and Babe Ruth coach, and an inductee to the Haddonfield Memorial High School Athletic Hall of Fame in 2000. He is survived by his wife Nina M. Kemps (nee Miller); daughters Loreen M. Kemps of Mt. Gretna, Penn., Diane L. Leber (Jeffrey) of Cherry Hill, N.J; sons, Edward Dean Kemps (Amber) of Lower Pottsgrove Township, Penn.; and David Brian Kemps (Kelly) of Tabernacle, N.J. He had four grandchildren; and a sister, Jane E. Conner of Vincentown, N.J.
