MOUND, MN – Bruce M. Charon, former fleet manager for Land O’Lakes, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on May 23, 2005. He was 68. Charon died in his hometown of Mound. Charon was fleet manager for Land O’Lakes for 10 years before retiring from the company. Prior to working for Land O’ Lakes, Charon worked as fleet manager for the Carlson Companies in Minneapolis. After retiring from Land O’Lakes, Charon worked for seven years for the State of Minnesota in its purchasing department. Charon was a retired veteran of the U.S. Air Force and was a retired member of the Mound Westonka School Board. He is survived by daughters, Lisa (Mark) Stenseth, Menomonie, Wis., Julie (Jeff) Staads, Eau Claire, Wis., Stephanie (Andrew) Nelson, Victoria, Minn.; grandchildren, Allison (Rich) Manzer, Brittney Stenseth, Ben, Matt, and Zach Staads, Josie and Sully Nelson; aunts, Rena Mae Charon, Clara Horn.
