IIHS Chooses Volvo S60 as Top Safety Pick+
ROCKLEIGH, NJ – The Top Safety Pick+ is a new designation from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety that recognizes vehicles that earn good ratings for occupant protection in at least four of five safety tests.

ROCKLEIGH, NJ – The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) named the Volvo S60 as one of its new Top Safety Pick+ choices. Volvo said the S60 is one of two mid-size luxury vehicles earned the Top Safety Pick+ designation from IIHS.
The Top Safety Pick+ is a new safety designation from IIHS that recognizes vehicles that earn good ratings for occupant protection in at least four of five safety tests, with no less than acceptable in the organization’s new fifth test.
IIHS rates vehicles good, acceptable, marginal or poor based on performance in a moderate overlap frontal crash, small overlap frontal crash (which is new), side impact and rollover, plus evaluations of seat/head restraints for protection against neck injuries in rear impacts.
