Earlier, the IARA hosted on Friday, May 8, 2020 the first of three webinars in the 2020 Road to Recovery series that were created to support the vehicle remarketing industry.
The first webinar, titled “The Remarketing Road Ahead,” focused on strategies for getting the remarketing industry back to full strength, and featured Tom Kontos, Chief Economist at KAR Auction Services and Jonathan Smoke, Chief Economist at Cox Automotive. There were over 250 registrations for the first webinar.
Topics addressed in the first webinar included the latest trends on retail used vehicle sales and prices; regional differences to the economy; an overview on wholesale used vehicle trends; expectations of the market in the coming weeks; and more.
A third webinar, “Adjusting to the New Normal,” will be hosted on June 5, 2020 and will feature consignors from OEM’s, captives, banks, commercial fleets, and rental car companies discussing the current remarketing landscape; finding ways to maximize return on your inventories despite market changes.
