Hyundai's 2015 Sonata Gets 'Eco' Powertrain
The 2015 Sonata Eco is powered by a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 177 horsepower and 195 lb.-ft. of torque. The engine will be paired with a seven-speed automatic transmission.

Hyundai has added a third, more fuel efficient powertrain to its 2015 Sonata mid-size sedan that's expected to deliver 38 miles per gallon highway.
The 2015 Sonata Eco is powered by a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 177 horsepower and 195 lb.-ft. of torque. The engine will be paired with a seven-speed automatic transmission.
The Sonata Eco comes standard with the features of the Sonata SE, and adds a chrome grille, side-mirror turn indicators, a rearview backup camera, and Blue Link telematics system. The technology package is available for an additional $4,100.
Additional fuel economy ratings are expected to come in at 28 mpg city and 32 mpg combined. The Sonata Eco will start at $23,275, which doesn't include a $810 freight charge.
