Hyundai Prices 2017 Sonata Hybrid, Plug-In

Hyundai has announced retail pricing for its Sonata Hybrid and Sonata Plug-In Hybrid that will receive light updates for the 2017 model year.

Hyundai has announced retail pricing for its Sonata Hybrid and Sonata Plug-In Hybrid that will receive light updates for the 2017 model year.

The 2017 Sonata Hybrid base model retails for $26,835, while the Hybrid Limited (including the model with the Blue Pearl interior) retails for $30,935. Prices include freight charges.

For 2017, the Sonata Hybrid adds a 7-inch high-resolution color touchscreen, HD Radio, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto as standard features. Hyundai is offering its next-generation Blue Link connected car system and a new color palate in early 2017.

The Sonata Hybrid remains powered by a 2.0L four-cylinder engine paired with a 38-kilowatt electric motor and clutch instead of a torque converter. The powertrain produces 193 hp and enables a range of 650 miles. EPA-rated fuel economy is 39 mpg in the city and 45 mpg on the highway.

The 2017 Sonata Plug-in Hybrid base model retails for $35,435, while the Sonata Plug-in Hybrid Limited (including the model with the Blue Pearl interior) retails for $39,435. The model received a new color palate in early 2017.

The Sonata Plug-in Hybrid is powered by a 2.0L four-cylinder engine and 50-kilowatt electric motor in place of a torque converter. The electric motor is 32% more powerful than the one used in the Sonata Hybrid. This powertrain produces 202 hp and enables a range of 600 miles. EPA-rated fuel economy is 39 mpg in combined driving.
