Hyundai Connects Its Cars to Smart Homes
Hyundai has updated its Blue Link technology to allow users to connect thier equipped Hyundai vehicle to Amazon Alexa and control their car with from devices such as the Echo hands-free speaker, the automaker has announced.

Hyundai has updated its Blue Link technology to allow users to connect thier equipped Hyundai vehicle to Amazon Alexa and control their car with from devices such as the Echo hands-free speaker, the automaker has announced.
Hyundai users will be able to use the second-generation Blue Link with 2017-model-year Hyundai vehicles, including the Ioniq trio of electrified vehicles. The automaker is also adding capacility for some 2016-MY and 2015-MY vehicles, including the Sonata mid-size sedan.
The technology allows users to remotely start the car, control heating and air conditioning, lock or unlock doors, locate the vehicle, call for roadside assistance, and activate a stolen vehicle recovery feature.
Hyundai introduced the new features at AutoMobility LA, the trade show that precedes the Los Angeles Auto Show.
