Honda Fit Draws 5-Star Overall Safety Score
The subcompact car excels in crashworthiness tests conducted for NHTSA’s New Car Assessment Program.

The 2015 model-year Honda Fit has drawn a Five-Star overall vehicle score from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration as part of the agency’s New Car Assessment Program (NCAP).
To qualify for the highest overall score, the Fit drew five stars in the individual frontal and side crash tests. In the rollover evaluation, the vehicle scored four stars out of five.
Calspan Corp. conducted the testing at the company’s crash lab.
The Fit’s key safety and driver-assistance features include:
Honda’s next-generation Advanced Compatibility Engineering body structure
Driver and front passenger SmartVent side air bags
Side curtain air bags with rollover sensor
Motion-adaptive electric power steering (EPS)
Hill Start Assist
Expanded-view driver’s mirror
Honda LaneWatch

“The Fit shows that owning a smaller car doesn’t mean you need to skimp on space, comfort or crashworthiness,” said Art St. Cyr, vice president of auto operations at American Honda Motor Co.
