GM Invests $50M In Next-Gen Cruze Plant
General Motors will spend $50 million to upgrade and equip the Lordstown, Ohio, plant for the next-generation Chevrolet Cruze, the automaker has announced.

General Motors will spend $50 million to upgrade and equip the Lordstown, Ohio, plant for the next-generation Chevrolet Cruze, the automaker has announced.
The investment will go toward a new flexible Trim Shop upgrades to the Press Room. Construction has begun at the plant.
General Motors has been building the Cruze in Lordstown since Sept. 8, 2010. In 2013, the plant began building the Cruze Clean Turbo Diesel. In 2013, the Cruze was GM's top-selling vehicle globally and, and the No. 7 top selling car in the U.S., according to the automaker.
On April 10, the plant produced the the 1 millionth Cruze compact sedan.
