GM Extends ‘Keep America Rolling’ Program
General Motors announced the extension of its interest-free automotive finance program to run through Nov. 18, 2001. The program will be available on all 2001- and 2002-model Chevrolet, Pontiac, Oldsmobile, Buick, Cadillac, GMC, and Saturn cars and light- and medium-duty trucks. “This highly successful marketing program is clearly achieving its objectives to stimulate vehicle sales and to help stimulate economic activity during this critical time,” said GM Group Vice President for Vehicle Sales, Service and Marketing Bill Lovejoy. Since the program began on Sept. 20, sales of GM vehicles have been strong and this consumer sales momentum is continuing in October. “The public’s reaction for this program has been overwhelmingly positive,” said Lovejoy. “Our dealers are extremely supportive and the entire General Motors family of employees, dealers, and suppliers are contributing to the success of this program.” Financing terms for “Keep America Rolling” remain unchanged and are as follows: APR Terms: (GMAC financing for qualified retail and commercial customers) 2001 Cars 36/months: 0.0% APR, 48/months: 0.0% APR, 60/months: 0.0% APR 2001 Trucks 36/months: 0.0% APR, 48/months: 0.9% APR, 60/months: 2.9% APR 2002 Cars 36/months: 0.0% APR, 48/months: 0.9% APR, 60/months: 2.9% APR 2002 Trucks 36/months: 0.0% APR, 48/months: 2.9% APR, 60/months 4.9% APR “Keep America Rolling” runs through Nov. 18, 2001 to coincide with the start of the annual holiday season and GM’s traditional year-end automotive sales events.
