Giurato joined Manheim in November 1983 as a senior systems analyst in the corporate office. In October 1985, he was named business manager at Florida Auto Auction of Orlando in Ocoee, Fla. Giurato served as factory manager of Southwest Auto Auction in Phoenix, Ariz., from April 1987 until August 1988, when he was promoted to assistant general manager of Dealers Auto Auction of Dallas in Grand Prairie, Texas. Within a year, he was promoted to general manager of the auction. In August 1992, Giurato transferred to Florida Auto Auction of Orlando as general manager. Two years later, he joined the corporate staff as director of national accounts. In December 1996, Giurato was promoted to vice president of operations for GM.
