Genesis Adds Turbo V-6 G80 Sport
The 2018 Genesis G80 Sport will provide buyers of this mid-size luxury sedan a third engine choice of a 3.3-liter twin turbocharged V-6 that's now offered with the larger G90 model, the company has announced.

The 2018 Genesis G80 Sport will provide buyers of this mid-size luxury sedan a third engine choice of a 3.3-liter twin turbocharged V-6 that's now offered with the larger G90 model, the company has announced.
The rear-wheel G80 3.3T Sport will slot between the base G80 powered by the 3.8-liter V-6 and the flagship G80 5.0 Ultimate equipped with a 5.0-liter V-8. The G80 Sport will retail for $56,225. The base G80 retails for $42,725, while the G80 5.0 Ultimate retails for $57,975. Adding all-wheel drive to any G80 adds $2,500.
The G80 Sport will arrive in May, while the other 2018 models will be available in the summer.
Genesis is also expanding safety technology across the 2018 G80 lineup by adding standard equipment such as pedestrian detection to the automatic emergency braking system as well as Driver Attention Alert. An available 360-degree multi-view camera system with four exterior cameras can be added.
