PITTSBURGH – GE Commercial Finance Fleet Services has received an Excellent Supplier award from PPG Industries for superior accomplishments in 2006. GE Commercial Finance Fleet Services, which provides global automotive fleet leasing and related services to PPG’s automotive replacement glass, automotive refinish, architectural coatings, automotive coatings, and other businesses in the United States and Europe, is one of 12 suppliers being honored by the global manufacturer of paints, coatings, chemicals, optical products, specialty materials, glass, and fiber glass. On an annual basis, PPG purchases more than $6 billion in materials and services from thousands of suppliers. “The performance of GE Commercial Finance Fleet Services in 2006 was again outstanding,” said McGuire. “Their quality, service, delivery, documentation and innovation have been superb. GE Commercial Finance Fleet Services has provided global automotive fleet leasing and services to PPG since 1999. According to PPG, GE has continued to improve the relationship by reducing lease costs, taking over the daily and strategic management of PPG’s fleet, and effectively managing fleet inventory to maximize utilization. And this year, GE expanded the automotive fleet program to include equipment and lift trucks.
