DEARBORN, MI – North American consumers named Ford Fusion, F-Series, Mazda3, and Volvo XC90 among the best-in-class winners of the inaugural Consumer Voice Awards, which recognizes top-ranked vehicles based solely on unaided, unscripted and unprompted consumer opinion. Brandimensions, a firm that tracks consumer sentiment for more than 200 vehicle attributes, such as quality, safety, style, and performance, announced the winners at the 2006 Chicago Auto Show. Ford Fusion grabbed the “Best Standard Sedan” honor in the automotive equivalent of the “People's Choice Awards.” The car has grown sales and share with each passing month since its launch. The Fusion’s exposure in the online environment through digital initiatives, such as the Fusion Flash Concert series and Fusion music mixer have helped to build the public's awareness of the car. Joining the Fusion in the winner's circle was its Ford stable mate the F-Series, the “Best Full-Size Pickup.” Ford's Premier Automotive Group grabbed the top spot in best luxury SUVs with the Volvo XC90. Mazda3 took top honors in the compact car category.
