GAFFNEY, SC – Freightliner Custom Chassis Corporation’s (FCCC) offering of the Mercedes-Benz MBE 926 continues to grow. Currently, Forest River, Four Winds International, Gulf Stream Coach, and Tiffin Motorhomes offer the MBE engine on select models built on the XC chassis. Now, Alfa Leisure has become the most recent company to join this group of manufacturers by offering the Mercedes-Benz engine. Detroit Diesel, which distributes and supports the MBE 900 engine in North America, announced in June that it had shipped its 100,000th MBE 900 medium-duty engine in the North American market. The engine’s success in North America demonstrates the extraordinary commitment by Detroit Diesel and Freightliner in providing products of the highest quality and reliability. The MBE 900 is a 7.2L, six-cylinder, medium-duty engine that generates 350 hp at 2,200 rpm while providing excellent fuel economy. It offers:

• A lowered engine position that allows a flat-floor rear bedroom and a lower center of gravity for better ride and handling.
