Former GM Exec Named Chairman of Via Motors Board
Bob Lutz, who spearheaded General Motors' development of the Chevrolet Volt hybrid, has been named chairman of the board of Via Motors.

Bob Lutz, who spearheaded General Motors' development of the Chevrolet Volt hybrid, has been named chairman of the board of Via Motors.
Lutz, a current Via Motors board member, replaces Carl Berg, who helped launch the company in 2009 and remains Via's largest shareholder.
Lutz is a former vice chairman of GM. He left the automaker for Via Motors, a maker of extended range electric trucks, vans and SUVs. John Weber, Via's CEO, called Lutz "one of the industry's foremost executives."
