DEARBORN, MI – Ford has improved its powertrain-limited warranties for 2007 Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury vehicles. The new warranties are five years or 60,000 miles for Ford and Mercury vehicles and six years or 70,000 miles for Lincoln products. Powertrain coverage continues after the expiration of the basic bumper-to-bumper warranty. Ford’s bumper-to-bumper warranties will continue unchanged, with three years or 36,000 miles for Ford and Mercury vehicles and four years or 50,000 miles for Lincoln vehicles. The powertrain limited warranty covers critical engine, transmission, and front- or rear-wheel-drive components, including 4x4 and all-wheel-drive components and factory-installed superchargers and turbochargers. Ford will also offer complimentary roadside assistance, including towing, fuel, and lock-out service for the entire warranty period.
