Fleetio Launches API for Third-Party Software Integration

Fleetio has launched an API to allow customers and third-party developers to leverage Fleetio data such as vehicle records, maintenance logs and driver information in other software applications. The Fleetio API enables customers to seamlessly integrate multiple aspects of their business with fleet management operations.
"Our API opens Fleetio up to be a fleet operations platform rather than just a software product," said Tony Summerville, Fleetio's founder and CEO. "App developers, internal IT teams, third-party software providers and more can use our API to build real-time integrations and provide a seamless experience for customers."
Using the API, data stored in Fleetio can be utilized in other third-party systems, and Fleetio data can even be updated in real time by other software applications, all without bulk imports and exports.
"Fleetio's API has improved our clients' efficiency by eliminating the need for tedious importing and exporting," said Justin Alderman, chief executive officer of IDAT Solutions. "We are now working to integrate Fleetio and our dispatching solutions with multiple platforms, making Fleetio a strong addition for our mutual clients. We also plan to integrate with Fleetio's future API enhancements like driver-to-vehicle assignments."
