Sales of vehicles from five manufacturers to commercial fleets declined 18.6% to 34,395 units in February and reduced year-to-date sales by 0.7%, according to Automotive Fleet data.
Sales of cars dropped 3.9% in February to 6,479 vehicles. The sales of trucks, vans, and SUVs declined 19% to 27,916 vehicles, making truck-based sales more than four times car sales.
Manufacturers’ monthly total cars decreased 3.7% to 84,383 and the monthly total trucks and SUVs decreased 1.6% to 92,470.
