Fleet Expo 2000, a fleet show and conference that will take place Sept. 17-19, 2000 at the Rosemont Convention Center in Rosemont, IL, will include what is believed to be the world’s largest ride-and-drive event. Attendees will be able to test new 2001-model vehicles such as the Chevrolet Impala, Pontiac Aztek, Ford Escape, Ford Taurus, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Pontiac Grand Am, Pontiac Bonneville, Buick LeSabre, Cadillac DeVille, and Mazda Tribute, and other models by Volvo, Subaru, and Saab. The Ride & Drive is sponsored by the ChicagoLand Dealers.
Fleet Expo 2000 will also feature an Upfitter Innovation Award, which will recognize outstanding new engineering and design development for upfitting fleet truck bodies during the past year. Industry peer judges will weigh innovation, imagination, practicality, and economics in their assessment of the nominees. The winner will receive a trophy and a $1,000 check to the chief engineer on the project.
Attendees can enter to win one of two grand prizes: a no-cost lease of a new Ford F-150 work-ready truck, or a no-cost lease of a Cadillac DeVille DTS with GM’s OnStar system. All full registrations will receive a supplier coupon book valued at more than $500.
