DELRAY BEACH, FL – FLD, Inc., one of the largest privately-held automobile remarketing companies in the United States, has announced the promotion of Carol Fowler to director of business development. Fowler previously served as transportation manager and sales rep for the company, overseeing both national and international fleets.
Fowler was first introduced to the automotive industry when she landed a job with West Palm Beach Auto Auction in the late 1970s. She stayed on when the company was purchased by Anglo American Auto Auctions and eventually rose to the position of fleet manager. After a stint with Miami Car Auction in Opa-Locka, Fla., Fowler returned to West Palm Auto Auction at a time when the organization was turning out well over 1,000 units weekly. Her career path eventually led her to FLD in 2003.
“Carol’s knowledge of auto auctions, paired with FLD’s superb IT department, was a natural fit for both of us,” said Gary Mott, vice president of FLD. “Her extensive auto-industry experience and network contacts will serve her extremely well in her new position in business development.”
