FLD Names Janus VP of Remarketing Services
DELRAY BEACH, FL – Larry Janus has been named vice president of remarketing services for FLD, Inc., a national vehicle remarketing company. Janus was previously the remarketing director with Saab Financial. His responsibilities with FLD will include employee sales, business development, marketing and developing company initiatives, and remarketing strategy beneficial to the organization.
DELRAY BEACH, FL – Larry Janus has been named vice president of remarketing services for FLD, Inc., a national vehicle remarketing company. Janus was previously the remarketing director with Saab Financial. His responsibilities with FLD will include employee sales, business development, marketing and developing company initiatives, and remarketing strategy beneficial to the organization. With Saab Financial, Janus was responsible for the disposal of the entire Saab lease portfolio. While in this position he developed several programs to standardize auction procedures, imple-ment a grading and report card for remarketers, and a national seminar program to increase the awareness and purchasing of Saab products to independent buyers. Janus began his automotive career with Dart & Kraft Leasing in 1978 as assistant remarketing manager. He then moved to Orlando, Fla. in 1980 to take the position of new vehicle manager for Tupperware, a D&K division. For the next 20 years, Janus lived in Atlanta and took several positions in the automotive fleet industry. Some of those include director of operations with Lease Plan International, vice president of sales for Nalley Automotive Fleet, and director of national accounts for AUCNET. Janus has been involved with a number of industry and trade organizations and has been utilized as an industry resource by editors for national trade publications. With the National Association of Fleet Administrators (NAFA), he has held several chair positions at the local level and was also on the organizing committee for the Atlanta National Convention. He has held the position of membership chair for the Atlanta/SE Region of the National Vehicle Leasing Association (NVLA) and has been a speaker for the National Remarketing Conference (NRC) hosted by Auto Remarketing magazine. Janus resides in Chicago.
