Fiat to Unveil Low-Emission Concept Car in Frankfurt Auto Show

TURIN, Italy --- Italian automaker Fiat plans to debut its Panda Aria concept car at the upcoming 2007 Frankfurt Auto Show, Edmunds reported.

TURIN, Italy --- Italian automaker Fiat plans to debut its Panda Aria concept car at the upcoming 2007 Frankfurt Auto Show, Edmunds reported. Fiat has described the vehicle as an "environmental manifesto" that demonstrates the company's commitment to developing low-emissions solutions. The Panda Aria boasts a turbocharged 900cc two-cylinder engine that develops 80 horsepower. With its Multiair fuel management system, the vehicle can run on a mixture of gasoline, methane and hydrogen. The powertrain also includes an automated manual gearbox and a stop/start system to enhance fuel savings. Moreover, the Panda Aria is constructed of such recyclable materials as cotton, linen and woven coconut fiber.
