On August 24, the Electrification Coalition (EC) announced various new team members and promoted employees as it expands its state EV policy work and strengthens its deployment programs, including freight electrification.

The EC’s policy team works across executive, legislative, and regulatory venues at the state level to encourage policies and actions that accelerate transportation electrification, according to its announcement. The team is building on its ongoing work in Florida and Georgia, with the staff changes to support those efforts.

  • Celia Kosinski, formerly a policy analyst at the EC, is now a policy manager. She will lead legislative analyses, stakeholder engagement, and implementation projects in Florida and Georgia. In her previous role, she developed policy recommendations to guide the EC’s state-level work.

  • Mary Linn joined the EC as the FL/GA campaign organizer. She will work to mobilize stakeholders and increase community support for EV adoption across Florida and Georgia. Before the EC, Linn worked for the Environmental Defense Fund finding ways to involve Florida communities in local, state, and federal climate legislation.

The EC’s programs team leads initiatives that promote EV adoption in states and municipalities and serves as technical advisor for fleets, local governments, and other entities transitioning to EVs.

  • Sarah Fischer, formerly a senior electric vehicle specialist at the EC, is now a program manager. She will lead the programs team’s work developing transportation electrification roadmaps for cities and territories across the United States. In her previous role, she executed total cost of ownership fleet analyses, led EV training workshops for fleet and government staff, and researched electrification trends.

  • Jessica Stoll joined the EC as a program specialist. She will provide technical guidance on charging infrastructure, fleet analysis, and transition planning. Before the EC, Stoll served as the operations and membership coordinator for the Wisconsin Sustainable Business Council, driving sustainability and equity in business operations across the state.

  • Steph Wagner, formerly an intern at the EC, is now a technical program specialist. They will perform analyses to determine the right fit for fleet electrification and assist in the development of tools and resources. Wagner has been researching energy and sustainable policy since 2019, having worked with multiple environmental advocacy non-profits.

  • Will Marshall joined the EC as a program associate of freight electrification. He will support efforts to advance the electrification of the goods movement industry and other critical EV policies and programs. Prior to the EC, Marshall was the senior legislative assistant at Kountoupes Denham Carr & Reid, a bipartisan lobbying firm, supporting a portfolio of clients in the energy sector.

“These staff additions and promotions are coming at the perfect time,” said Ben Prochazka, executive director of the EC. “With new federal funding available and consumer interest at an all-time high, the time is ripe for transportation electrification. The EC has more work to do than ever, and thanks to our growing team of talented employees, we are ready to meet the EV moment.”
