CHICAGO – Driveitaway Inc., a provider of upstream remarketing programs for commercial fleet vehicles, announced that Emkay, Inc., a national full-service leasing and management company, has selected the Driveitaway platform to power its new Fleet Exchange program, located at www.companycarstore.com. Emkay is one of the oldest fleet leasing and management companies in the nation, leasing and managing more than 60,000 cars and trucks for more than 1,000 corporate clients. The company offers open and closed-end leasing programs, as well as assistance with fleet purchase and disposal. Fleet Exchange allows Emkay’s fleet clients to offer their end-of-lease cars, vans and trucks for sale to their drivers and employees before they come off lease. Under the program, fleet managers realize substantially better net proceeds compared to traditional remarketing channels, and buyers can purchase at close-to-wholesale prices. With Fleet Exchange, prospective buyers can view comprehensive online information about each vehicle, including a third party inspection report with multiple pictures and, in most cases, a full maintenance history. “Fleet Exchange allows our fleet clients to increase net realizations at the end of the vehicle’s service,” said Greg Depace, group VP Systems. “Fleet Exchange helps clients to optimize fleet performance and economics throughout the vehicle lifecycle.”
