SACRAMENTO, CA — The average price for a gallon of diesel soared 20.7 cents to $2.801 on the West Coast and 28.6 cents to $2.943 in California last week, reported Fleet Owner. After a major refinery there caught fire in late July, the Energy Information Administration (EIA) reported the substantial bump. According to the Oil Price Information Service (OPIS), California diesel prices stand at $3.003.
