ATLANTA- Matt Kuhn has been named director of vehicle operations for Cox Enterprises, effective immediately. He will report to Mark Leuenberger, assistant vice president, supply chain services and fleet management.
Most recently, Kuhn served as Cox Enterprises' director of fleet maintenance. In 2004, he joined the company as director of reconditioning services for Manheim, a Cox subsidiary and provider of vehicle remarketing services. His previous roles include vice president of operations for SGS, vice president of fleet maintenance for ANC Rental Corporation, and director of maintenance for National Car Rental.
In this role, Kuhn will manage the companywide fleet, consisting of more than 13,000 vehicles across Cox's four major subsidiaries and corporate office. By transitioning to flex-fuel vehicles and replacing vehicles with more fuel-efficient and/or hybrid models, the fleet is a key component of Cox Conserves, the company's national sustainability program.
"Matt brings more than 25 years of automotive management experience to this role," said Leuenberger. "Having worked closely with Matt, I am certain that he will thrive in this role and help our fleet continue to reach new levels of efficiency."
Kuhn is ASE certified at the Master Level for collision, mechanical, and shop management.
Cox Enterprises is ranked No. 16 on Automotive Fleet's Top 300 Commercial Fleets listing for 2010.
