Consumer Reports Names Top Vehicle Brands for 2017
Consumer Reports has ranked Audi as the top automotive brand on its annual Brand Report Card, followed by Porsche, BMW, Lexus, and Subaru.

Consumer Reports has ranked Audi as the top automotive brand on its annual Brand Report Card, followed by Porsche, BMW, Lexus, and Subaru, the publication announced Fed. 28.
Audi retains the top spot from a year ago, when it displaced Lexus. This year, Porsche and BMW moved up several slots, while Lexus and Subaru fell several slots.

This year, Chrysler, Acura, Infiniti, and Cadillac made the most improvement. Chrysler moved up seven places, and the other three brands each moved up six places compared with last year. Tesla was ranked as the top U.S.-based vehicle brand.
Fiat, Jeep, Mitsubishi, and Land Rover remained at the bottom of the list.
The vehicle are evaluated based on road tests, predicted reliability, owner satisfaction, and safety.
