Completely Driverless Waymo Cars Are on the Way — The company said this is the next step to rolling out a fully autonomous fleet.

In an email to its Phoenix-based customer, Waymo revealed that fully autonomous vehicles will soon be picking up ride-hailing customers.

According to an email posted on Reddit, customers may be matched with a self-driving car that does not have a safety driver in the vehicle. Customers will be informed within the app of what to expect, and will be able to contact Waymo service with any questions.

The company said this is the next step to rolling out a fully autonomous fleet.
