BRENTWOOD, TN – Comdata Corp., a provider of payment systems for the transportation and retail industries, has completed a marketing agreement with Fiscal Systems, a provider of integrated back-office and point-of-sale systems for travel centers, to market Fiscal’s Trav Star 1 system. Trav Star 1, which will be marketed by Comdata with some additional features under the OmniDesq brand, is a totally integrated, real-time, point-of-sale system that ties all of a merchant’s revenue centers — fuel, restaurant, general merchandise, etc. — into one seamless POS-to-back office solution, including touch-screen and POS scanning technology, inventory control, employee scheduling, a loyalty program and more. Comdata will add its Comchek, SmartFuel and FDIS transaction processing capabilities to create the OmniDesq product. Comdata will continue to offer its Trendar fuel point-of-sale equipment for merchants who need a fuel-desk-only solution. As with all Comdata products, the company will support OmniDesq with 24-hour customer service. Development is being finalized but the companies anticipate being in the marketplace with the new offering in the fall.
